I miss the light brown M&M's (I think they were replaced with blue).
The light brown M&M's tasted very chocolatey and natural, the blue ones taste like Blue #22.

It's illegal to put change into someone else's parking meter. In other words, the government doesn't want you to be nice.
While surfing the web for origami patterns, I came across a craft called "iris folding". Iris folding is a simple and inexpensive craft that involves folding paper and layering it in a pattern to create a beautiful effect for cards, scrapbooks, and decorations. I should probably stick with my crane making since my quota of 1,000 paper cranes isn't even close to being met but I thought this was just as interesting. This is a great craft to do with kids because it's simple and yields beautiful results. Here's an example of a simple iris folding project.

Haven't been able to blog much, it's been a pretty crazy week, good crazy though, not the kind that makes you fantasize about strangling don't knows (alternative word for strangers) in the grocery store.

Everyone is familiar with The Little Mermaid. I myself love the movie, when I was little I wanted to be Ariel. Anytime I was swimming I re-enacted the scene where Ariel is singing "Part of your World" and launches herself up on a rock. Anyway, I learned that in the original, Hans Christian Anderson tale, Ariel wanted to be human for two reasons. The first being, like in the movie, to marry and love prince (who doesn't want that?). In the original however, Ariel also wants an eternal soul. Apparently merfolk don't have souls, when they die they turn into sea foam.

Today I learned that radio city music hall cost eight million dollars to build $$$$$$$$$$$ and that was in the 30's, you can imagine what the cost would be now.
Sadly, what I learned today wasn't happy news. The legendary sexual revolutionist, Bettie Paige died on December 12th, 2008. While many don't condone Bettie Paige's lively hood, I can only speculate that she helped a lot of folks living in the depression and post-depression era escape reality for awhile and just fantasize. And I think that's quite alright. Thanks Bettie!

I just remembered this funny story. I wasn't even involved in this hilarious exchange but I was told it and I have the right to retell it because it involves two of my closest friends.
Guess what? In writing this I made up a word. The plural for Cheez-It is NOT Cheez It's like I have been using, it's Cheez-It crackers. Scrumtrulescent!Labels: chortle, footnotes, friends, guffaw, love, random, woof
I went to my friends house last night and he lives across the street from a Masonic Temple. There was a group of about three or four people hanging out by the Temple and I walked over to see what was up. I started talking to this gentleman named Tony and I asked him what was up with the masons. He started explaining to me that I need to get invited to enter the temple and that women can't be free masons, they're called something like Goddess of the Moonlight or Walla-walla woman.
I was a prepubescent person at one point in my life, and a teen girl at another point of my life. I listened to music and preferred certain bands over others. I however, never looked like this:

The following is an excerpt from an article in the August issue of Rolling Stone. The article focuses on the Jonas Brothers (a uber-famous boy band whose fan based is primarily adolescent girls), it's titled, "The Clean Teen Machine".I came home from work last week and decided my place stunk, instead of cleaning I lit a few candles, a stick of incense and proceeded to "google" insanely expensive real estate (it's an obsession of mine that often leaves me quite depressed).

Me participating in a sweaty baby nap with Scout & Roswell
Among the most popular and well-known naps is the CAT NAP (aka - the power nap). The cat nap, popularized by our feline friends, is a short 20 to 30 minute nap. The power nap moniker came into existence because some felt that the term cat nap was for pussies.
There are as many ways to nap as there are people in this world and this blog is just a sample of what's possible within the realm of dormancy. Now, don't be a baby and go take a nap.
